Reuse, Reduce, and Recycle class activity of Kid 9A
On September 20, 2019, students of Kid 9A in TK Campus made a showcase of their recycled products. In less than a week, the students scoured their houses for items no longer in use, brought them to school, and worked on creating a new product out of them.
Some students made a house out of cartons and sticks, a football field and car race area complete with parking lot and cars, and decorated a field to go with it. Some students sewed a pencil case out of old pairs of jeans and wove beautiful pen and marker holder or vase out of newspaper.
Throughout the process, the students further learned what household items need to be reused, recycled and how they can reduce usage of non-recyclable items. Along with it, students worked hand in hand in finishing this class activity with enthusiasm and great interest.
These students ended their class activity through a presentation. They presented as a group in the class, happy with their results. In doing so, it has enhanced their presentation and speaking skills.
They are looking forward to more challenging activities in the future!
